Three Strava segments to discover in Yvelines
The Yvelines is a land of trails. The region's many natural areas are proof of this. The Yvelines is one of the leading departments in the Paris region, with 35% of trail events (races). Today, the region boasts 1,700km of marked hiking trails. This is an opportunity for athletes to discover three Strava segments on which to perform.
Attacking the château de la Madeleine
You only have to arrive in the center of Chevreuse to realize what an obstacle it is. With its fortress overlooking the town and the Yvette valley, the sentier de la Madeleine, part of the Jean Racine hiking trail, offers traileurs everything they need to have a blast. Paths, steps, trails and singles, all spread over more than 600m at an average gradient of 8.8%... It's hard work, but in the end, the view from the château across the Vallée de Chevreuse is well worth the effort.

Successfully taming the Seine hillsides
Depart from Orgeval and head for the Bois de Montfaucon. Already, your thighs and calves are going to be burning. It's not for nothing that many trails take place on the banks of the Seine. In the woods, take the Promenade du Chevalier Alhéric d'Haubecourt. At one point, you'll have to turn right... You'll soon understand why. It's a wall, Abbecourt vertical is probably one of the toughest segments in the Yvelines. The program includes 200m at 18.4%, with some sections at over 25%. Even the best climbers can't manage to go under a minute.

Top view of the Sun King
It's one of the best-known coasts in the Yvelines. And with good reason, as it's located in Versailles, it's one of the most accessible. After skirting the "pièce d'eau des Suisses" on the outskirts of the château, it gives you a unique view of Versailles and the town. On the route des mulets that links Versailles and Saint-Cyr l'Ecole through the woods, the Suisse-Satory climb is a favorite playground for runners. And with good reason: the 400m climb at an average gradient of 8.8% has been climbed almost 15,000 times.
