Wear your EcoTrail Paris race T-shirt
For the fifth year running, no T-shirts will be distributed to finishers of the EcoTrail Paris. It's a controversial choice, but one that hides a little novelty this year, which may comfort the most disappointed. We tell you all about it...
Putting a smile on EVERYONE's face
As organizers, there's nothing more difficult, after a year of hard work preparing the event, than to feel the disappointment of some once the finish line has been crossed. So, while we're generally unscathed on the subject (and it's not us who say so, but the responses to the post-race questionnaire confirm it), we do, of course, sometimes have to deal with disappointed people.
The hard-to-replace finisher T-shirt
The reason for this disappointment? Very often, it's that famous finisher's T-shirt which, in our case, has been consigned to the closet in 2021. And although we're working to bring new thinking to the fore, such as that which maintains that memories are first and foremost within us, we have to admit that the narrative of reward, particularly physical reward, is still very much alive.
In response, we're offering all 2025 finishers a high-quality wooden medal made in France. But the absence of the precious running sesame, which can be easily displayed during training sessions, still often prevails over the charm, however beautiful it may be.
Marking, a balanced solution
Without compromising our values, and in a quest for continuous improvement and questioning, we looked for solutions. Solutions that would appeal to any participant, that would meet this need to belong without being ecologically nonsensical. As EcoTrail Paris, we also have the role of having to take risks, of trying things out, and of implementing actions that might invite other organizations to think again. It was this question of balance, allowing the trailer to wear the fabric of its performance in an environmentally-friendly way, that led us to the idea of branding.
Marking your performance ecologically
Let's be honest, the chances of a finisher shirt becoming your favorite are slim to none. The competition in the wardrobe is far too tough. On the other hand, helping to make your favorite tee-shirt even more valuable, even more stylish and even more full of history by adding an extra touch is much more realistic. That's why, starting this year, we're offering you the chance to bring your own race T-shirt to the Village Sport Planète and have it marked EcoTrail Paris 2025.
It's an environmentally-friendly alternative for transforming your T-shirt into a trophy cabinet, since no new T-shirts will be produced. Naturally, this marking will meet all the most advanced certifications in terms of eco-responsibility.
2,000 of the edition's markings will be available over the two days of the Village Sport Planète.

The quest for the common good and sincere attention to others and the world are at the heart of the raison d'être of MAIF, which became a mission-driven company in 2020. Convinced that sport is a formidable vehicle for raising awareness, the mutual insurance company is today deploying the MAIF Sport Planète scheme, a set of actions and resources available to the sporting ecosystem throughout the year, helping to motivate as many people as possible to make a collective commitment to preserving the planet.
