Ferme de la Sente Aux Anes
We've been farmers in Normandy for 40 years and more. A story of family, quality, environment, animal welfare and short supply chains.
Our pigs like to roll around in the fresh straw from the farm. They all have plenty of room to roam and a habitat that benefits from natural light. Our chickens and guinea fowl are raised in the open air on beautiful areas planted with fruit trees. The animals are fed by us, and the feed, 100% GMO-free, is made on the farm from cereals grown by my father Thierry and my brother Robin. The straw used for bedding is also produced on the farm.
Over the past 10 years, the farm has diversified into direct-to-consumer sales. Robin took a charcuterie course so that he could make his own products in an on-farm processing laboratory.
We joined the "Bienvenue à la Ferme" network and in 2013 set about opening a sales outlet where Maryvonne (the mother) and her colleagues offer our delicious and diverse products.
Our 10-strong team is made up of butchers, charcutiers, caterers, salespeople, farmers and growers. Qualified, they produce retail charcuterie, poultry and dry sausage every week on the farm. All our products are nitrite-free. Several years ago, we also set up a canning workshop on the farm.
Our dry sausage is produced without nitrite salt and dried on site in the farm's charcuterie laboratory. We took a training course in Aurillac to perfect our know-how in drying sausages. Our sausages are dry, firm and well-balanced in terms of saltiness.
