MyCO2 joins the EcoTrail Paris

EcoTrail Paris has teamed up with MyCO2, a decision-support tool to help you understand and measure your personal carbon footprint and find personalized levers for action. The tool was developed by Carbone 4, the leading consultancy firm for low-carbon strategies.

Carbone 4 has developed the MyCO2 decision-support tool which, through an interactive online or face-to-face conference, enables you to measure and understand your personal carbon footprint, and then give you the keys to reducing your impact in a personalized way. The MyCO2 teams will work with us to offer you fun, guilt-free awareness-raising workshops.

The MyCO2 approach is very simple: your life is divided into 5 "moments": morning, day, evening, weekends and vacations. For each moment, MyCO2 provides you with a "fill-in-the-blank text" (also known as a narrative form) to simply describe your life choices. MyCO2 then translates them into carbon impact.

Each conference is unique because it's interactive, with a constant concern to draw parallels between the individual and the collective. You'll be invited to make commitments that contribute to achieving a collective goal.

The most important thing is to project your lifestyle choices into the near future and understand their impact, whether positive or negative: Is it positive if I buy a new Zoé? Does eating better or heating better have a greater impact? What's the impact if I use an electric scooter to complete my current car journey? Last year I went to Japan, what difference does it make if I go to Norway this year, or even to an island in Brittany for a vacation?

The MyCO2 teams spent months analyzing and understanding what makes up the carbon footprint of the French, working closely with the French Ministry of Ecological Transition. Using Carbone 4's expertise, the data was reprocessed to better explain how emissions in France are distributed, which in 2019 represent 9.9 tons of CO2 equivalent.
